1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing and using the St. John Paul II Church Administration Portal ("Portal"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Portal.

2. Eligibility and Access

This Portal is intended exclusively for authorized personnel of St. John Paul II Church, including:

  • Portal Administrators
  • Priests and clergy members
  • Area Managers
  • Catechists and religious education teachers

Access to the Portal is granted at the discretion of church administration. Unauthorized access attempts are prohibited and may result in legal action.

3. User Accounts and Security

Account Responsibilities:

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
  • You must not share your account with others
  • You must notify church administration immediately of any unauthorized access
  • You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account
  • You must use a strong, unique password and update it regularly

Account Termination:

Church administration reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason deemed appropriate.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Portal only for legitimate church administration purposes. You must NOT:

  • Access information beyond your authorized role and permissions
  • Share, export, or distribute confidential parish information
  • Use the Portal for personal, commercial, or non-church related purposes
  • Attempt to circumvent security measures or access restrictions
  • Introduce malware, viruses, or harmful code
  • Harass, abuse, or harm other users or parish members
  • Violate any applicable laws, regulations, or church canon law
  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your role

5. Data and Privacy

By using this Portal, you acknowledge that:

  • All data entered into the Portal belongs to St. John Paul II Church
  • You will handle all personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy
  • You will respect the confidentiality of parish members and their families
  • You will comply with all applicable data protection laws (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
  • Unauthorized disclosure of confidential information may result in legal action

6. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the Portal, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, and software, are the exclusive property of St. John Paul II Church or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

7. Role-Based Permissions

Access and functionality are granted based on your assigned role:

Portal Administrator:

Full access to all features, including user management, area management, and all CRUD operations.

Priest:

View all areas, families, and members. Manage areas and all related data.

Area Manager:

Manage families and members within assigned areas only.

Catechist:

View-only access to area and family information.

Attempting to access functions beyond your authorized role is strictly prohibited and may result in account suspension.

8. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

Service Availability:

The Portal is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Portal at any time without notice.

Limitation of Liability:

To the fullest extent permitted by law, St. John Paul II Church shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Portal.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless St. John Paul II Church, its officers, clergy, employees, and volunteers from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Portal or violation of these Terms.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of any material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Portal after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Portal shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Pune, Maharashtra, India.

12. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms shall otherwise remain in full force and effect.

13. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and St. John Paul II Church regarding the use of the Portal and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
